Can You

Can you write a poem, a few words to start?
Do you know about love? Have you opened your heart?
Pick up a pad a pen or quill. Let us take a ride, if you will.
Write about good things get deep with your words, well
Below the surface or above like the birds. Say things like
Your limpid eyes show no surprise glazed like the sea.
Dare I tread your mountain and fall to fly free.
Tell me that you love me; I know that you do Then kiss
away my tears with words of rue.
Can you write a poem with fancy speech? Forgetting the
world one love to reach. You have grabbed my attentions
with your words this day. Your words were beautiful, so yes
I say, you can write poems. With closed lips each verse was
read . Thank you for your love. Is what I read.
